Orangeburg Compound Plant Expansion - Update
Okonite continues to invest back into our facilities to provide the best products and customer service when it comes to Okoguard EPR insulated cables. Our recent cable plant expansion and modernization program at our three locations (Santa Maria CA, Richmond KY, and Orangeburg SC) have all been completed, resulting in over 36% of added capacity.

Cable Jackets 2021
From the very first cables we manufactured in 1878 until today, Okonite has been on the forefront of cable jacketing innovation. Cable jackets are critical components in the proper operation and service longevity of power, control and instrumentation cables.
Okonite offers many jacket materials to suit any application. Okolon- TS and Okoclear-TS Thermoset compounds are designed and manufactured at our Orangeburg, SC jacketing facility to ensure quality conformance. Testing at our Materials Research Lab in Paterson, NJ as well as our Flame Test Center in Orangeburg, SC assure the finished cable meets or exceeds all applicable industry and customer specifications.

Wind Energy Brochure
Okonite has been the cable standard for all the past modes of power generation -wind generation requires the same cable reliability. Okonite’s Okoguard all EPRinsulation system has now performed inthe most demanding environments since1967. Okoguard is the insulation system that is qualified to operate continuously at 105º C conductor temperature. Will your cables be able to continuously conduct power to the grid under a variety of conditions including the Perfect Wind, when all turbines are producing maximum output and all cables are fully loaded?
Ironically, cable is the longest link with the highest exposure between the power source and the point of power delivery (the grid), yet a small percent of the project cost. Wind Farms deserve the same Okonite Quality Cables as all other forms of generation.

The Okonite App
